Context
One evening I received an enigmatic job offer from a rugby friend. The company he was working in was desperately looking for someone able to make a visualisation for their client. The challenge ? I got the message a Tuesday evening and the delivery deadline was on Thursday.
Project
Rail freight is very costly but eco-friendly. In Austria, more than 8k freight connection are active. The idea of the visualization was to visualise the pollution truck would emit if they replace the trains. As data I had the train stations address and a corresponding CO2-emission. I first determined the road trucks would use between stations and then I combined the emissions and displayed it on a map.
